The first step to adding RSS feeds to your ticker is to get a Roxio MyAccount. Go to the options page and click the button to get an account if you don't have one already.

Your RSS feed list will be stored on your Roxio MyAccount so that you never have to worry about losing the data if you change computers or your hard drive crashes (after all, you might spend a lot of time adding dozens or hundreds of feeds). Plus, you can access all your feeds from ANY MediaTicker or even any web-enabled computer simply by logging onto your Roxio MyAccount.

Roxio MyAccount

Once you are signed in you'll want to start adding feeds. We can give you a head start here. Just click the tab for "Browse our Feed list" to see a selection of feeds you can easily add to MediaTicker.

Manage Feeds

If a news feed does not contain any images, MediaTicker will display a thumbnail of the web page along with the most recent article links. Clicking on a headline or the web page thumbnail will open up that web page in your browser.

Page Thumbnail

If the feed contains images (such as those from MSNBC.com and theonion.com) MediaTicker will display the images in the ticker. Clicking on any item will open up the article in your browser.

rss

An orange RSS badge means the item or article is less than 3 hours old (if the feed contains timestamps).

There are thousands of web sites, blogs, and news outlets that offer RSS feeds for their content. You can add any of those feeds to MediaTicker simply by entering the feed URL into your Roxio MyAccount feeds page. For quick instructions on how to get RSS feed URLs, click here.
